Get a program called Displayfusion. It's great for dual monitors. You can easily set it up so it fits both monitors.

the problem with displayfusion is that it is not technically speaking "free". I love it, but dat more then zero price tag...

Assuming you're on windows, right click on desktop, go to personalize, then desktop background, then set picture position to "Fill". Now gtfo
