>>5404986I bought a Macbook last year because I was bored with Windows, been using Windows for years and fancied a change. Honestly I love the thing, sure I paid a fair amount more for equivalent hardware but you can't beat the build quality of this thing, it's put together nicely. I've dropped it numerous times and it's still perfectly fine. Once I got used to it, I also really like OS X, the multitouch trackpad makes using the thing so much easier than Windows, and I'm not just saying that as Apple-spiel, I can't live without the multitouch now.
And it isn't as simple to use as everyone makes it out to be, OS X isn't an OS for retards by any shot. I had a month of being absolutely clueless with this thing, and I'm not exactly an idiot when it comes to using computers. It took me at least three months until I felt comfortable with the OS. The thing is, when people say "Oh it shuts off so many options" well that's true, but you can still access that shit through terminal.
The OS is definitely worth the money. Mac hardware? Yes, it's definitely overpriced but honestly, I'm fine with paying a little more for it.
That's not to say there aren't things that piss me off about Macs though. The major thing that pisses me off about Macs is how adverse to people screwing around with their precious OS Apple is. I want to theme my OS X but I can't even change the fucking dock. That's fucking ridiculous. I can't personalise /my/ fucking Mac.
Also there's no cut and paste by default on Mac. Seriously. How the fuck stupid is that? You have to install third party software for that.
There's other small annoyances but to be honest, there were many small annoyances on Windows.
At the end of the day I use both systems for their benefits, because I'm not an idiot fanboy. They're both great OS's, both with pros and cons.
