Don't listen to people who want to be a douche about you not knowing how to rice it. Everyone has to start somewhere. I just got #! about a week or two ago and knew as much as you do. Luckily, I found some kind people in the Desktop Ricing General threads (current one is here
>>5423405). The anon with a pink CrucnhBang desktop was very helpful to me. I started out with learning how to customize tint2 and went from there. It's not that difficult once you get the hang of it.
https://code.google.com/p/tint2/ Will get you started and show you exactly what everything does. It takes a little bit to get it working like you want, you just have to mess with it until you like it. I would install screenfetch as well, that gets you the terminal window that will display your OS, kernel, CPU/GPU, etc. If you have any questions I'll be glad to help but like I said, I only started about two weeks ago so I'm not very skilled at it myself.
>>542883 This is my Raspberry Pi desktop running PiBang, an even more lightweight version of CrunchBang specifically for the Pi. Had #! on my laptop before it died.
