You don't make something go from a resolution of 72 to 300 and hope for better quality, it doesn't work that way.
You can only bring the quality down by changing the resolution, not up.. I work at a printer and I end up doing it for misguided people and the image will just come out blurry instead of what they thought would be higher quality.

The original picture was too small so I made it like this. I don't know if that's allowed but if it is then I'd like to just have the rest of the wallpaper filled in.
