This is an interesting thread. I think it shows that "comfy" is extremely subjective. For instance, I definitely think maximum coziness can only be obtained in the middle of a blizzard, but a lot of the snow pictures in this thread give me a brisk, chilly feeling (nice in its own way, of course). It's because they're taken from a totally exposed POV, and not heading right towards a warm house, so when I imagine being there, I think "I'm pretty far from anywhere warm".
