Anyway he's right, the first commercially available connections were during the late 80's All you have done is google 'first internet connections' and copy/paste a word synonymous with the one of the first intranet connection programs. I mean, you can't even structure a sentence with "fore-runner" - that simple concept of understanding a term properly before using it has eluded you (as well as any kind of grammar), so I highly doubt you were part of ARPANET (Note the proper capitalization of an acronym) which was used exclusively by research facilities.

In the beginning the Military set up a command control communication system.
It then expanded into the Countries major Universities. That's when I came into contact with it. You only had a dumb terminal that hooked into the main server, using Unix. Each server then had access to others. Then came the Mac and changed a lot of things.

First wallpaper I ever used was a CGI picture of some space/science-ish circle thing on some tech/hardware-ish shit. Don't even remember where I found it.

That was the first I ever downloaded, because I wanted it back after my brother changed the family desktop.
