>>5830758) was fought during the Zulu war in the late 1800's, just after the battle of isandalwana the men of the 24th regiment of foot defended the drift with a garrison of 200 soldiers against 4,000 Zulu warriors. this won them the most Victorian crosses (highest military honor) for any unit of any single action. the movie Zulu was about this defense, and I'm pretty sure there was a Monty Python skit about this as well
