This is exactly what I'm looking for.
Where do you go after these?
Where do people who sit and look at animated drawings of fantasy worlds that we'd rather be in while listening to whatever music you listen to go to push that feeling?
I was told by a very pretty ex-girlfriend, when I told her that I love this kind of art,
that I had bad taste.
But I don't understand paintings of flowers,
or sunsets, or watercolors, or museums of dinosaur bones. I understand crisp, full colored, realistic animations of places and things that just don't happen on this boring planet, in these boring societies.
I watched Divergent and even though it was mostly garbage probably, I couldn't see past my excitement in the idea of a life we don't lead in circumstances that we don't have at all. I just sat and watched it in numb, nervous, butterfly excitment. And then I watched it again.
So, my friends, if any of you are willing,
take me down this road. Tell me where you go, to live lives that you don't live, what you listen to, to color stories of far-away places, and where I can lurk on this surprisingly shallow pool that the internet is to bask in that heavingly glow of disassociation.
