Neither of you seem to be using Rainmeter to its full potential, if all you post is a picture without any description what your skins do, so they don't seem to be doing anything besides looking pretty (for your own personal taste that is).
The top bar above the RSS feeds is always showing, even with maximized Windows so I always see everything, without having to interrupt my workflow with minimizing Windows (yes, I mostly work with my computer).
The drive skins all have R/W "LEDs", so I know at a glance to what extent they are being utilized, so I can intervene if there is abnormal use. I can change drive letters with a left click on the current letter, a right click on these drive skins also opens the Windows right-click menu. The bars are orange if free space is below 10%, white otherwise.
The CPU, GPU, RAM and Network skins are self explanatory, I get audible warnings should the CPU/GPU ever overheat, and the Network skin's histogram is bright red when there is no network connection, left clicking on it will run network troubleshooting in that case.
The media skin is a volume bar I can click / use mouse wheel on to set the volume. When I run a media app, it changes into a media player skin that shows album art, is scrolling artist - title, and has the media control buttons on it, and also a clickable seek bar.
I can click on the time to set an alarm time. When an alarm rings, clicking on the skin will reset the alarm. [cont'd in reply]
