Apps (explained below)
Overall, on the pros side, the easiest way I can explain it was that I felt like I didn't need o do very much with it out of the box for me to like it. With android. I was always wanting to add apps or widgets to do this or that and always tweaking things. WP8.1 ran almost exactly as I expected it to right from the start. As far as the app thing goes, I have actually been very satisfied with the availability of apps in the store, and there is not a single thing that I wanted that I wasn't able to find a good app for. Sure some of them are third party like the snapshot app, but it works just as well if not better than the first party android app I've used before. The problem for me came at work. We have some apps that a company has developed for us for some GIS mapping kind of things, and they of course are developing them for android. So I had to be the idiot to ask if there was any chance of them developing it for WP, and e Verona looked at me like I was crazy. Its really not that hard for developers to port from android to WP, but they just aren't at that point of doining it by default, in our developers case anyway. That is really the only downside I have found other than the general lack of hardware choices. Fortunately, the HTC m8 was exactly what I had been waiting for, and I'm really glad I switched!
