wallpaper is alright.

nothing really matches though.
The browser and now playing window kinda match, but the rest is just completely off.
The black taskbar is the worst offender, but the terminal is also really bad.
Try to make everything visually meld.
Also, why would you ever need that many tabs up at once?

I'm a multitasker.
Mac is a real bitch to customize but I'll work on the terminal and taskbar. Thanks for the advice.

Transparent terminals are hard to read, the dock at the bottom is taking up loads of space and is hard to read with that double text thing that's going on, can it be slimmer? Maybe with icons? there is no consistency, black, grey, pick one and stick to it. the blue highlight up the top looks completely out of place, and the chrome controls don't match the rest of the desktop. And another thing, the window decorations on chrome and the terminal don't match.

All the skins are independent of one another and one of the hardest parts of ricing is editing them slightly to work together.

Firefox skins are made using an addon called Stylish.
4chan skins are made though a 4chan addon like 4chanX.
Windows skins only change Windows shit.
The music player in most of the rices is Foobar2000

Why do people assume you need rainmeter or custom themes to not have a stock setup?
All you could have done was change the icons pinned to the taskbar and the start orb and it would've looked way better than stock already, also use Tclock to change the color of your clock cause right now it's hard to read

Soft colors are nice but the black text is a bit hard to read. It seems silly to remind yourself of your OS right there, it's not like you're going to forget.

It should be Explorer & Shell > Explorer > Proper Tree > <2> - fillcolorhint : color.
Otherwise you could always hide the navigation pane, I mean you use QTTabbar so you don't need it.

Any thoughts on the current color scheme? I'm thinking of just finding some colors myself instead of ripping them from the wall as some of these are darker (not to mention purple/violet) so they don't always stand out unless next to some kind of darker text.

I think if you just start pulling colors out of your ass for foobar they will look out of place as it will be a small part of the media player which is a somewhat small part of the desktop/environment as a whole.

I think if you added in some variation of that green or purple as accents it could look really good. eg the tops of the spectrum bars

Steam is "Air" skin.
Firefox, custom HTML homepage, and CSS work with the Stylish plugin.
Explorer, just icons, QTTab bar, and a visual theme on Windows.
Shell is bblean (Taskbar and stuff)

In your Foobar Settings (Ctrl + P) select Display -> Main Windows -> Frame Style.
Change that to "Borderless" or "No Caption" depending on what you want it to look like.

I think you need to adjust the height of the URL bar and the Nav bar in your CSS. Also move you tabs up a little bit under the tab section with

margin-bottom: 7px !important;

It doesn't have to be 7px, but just mess around with some margin values to adjust it to your nav/url bar height.

OS X is a very good operating system because it has proprietary software support like Windows, but also a good deal of Linux software that can easily be ported over due to its similar (UNIX-based) architecture. You just need to get past the initial setup of being retard-proofed (shit like only being able to install from the mac app store for security reasons).

Of the major 3 OSes, it's still my favorite despite not using it for years (I don't want to spend money on a mac).
