>>5976785Anon, it's not necessary to watch the old ones, as they're really more for context. And it wasn't necessarily a remake so much as rebooting the old series for the new generation. I heartily enjoy this show, but the fans can sometimes be a bit...much. If i were to give you 2 pieces of advice, i would tell you this:
1- don't skip 9 (keep in mind it was started in 2005 so the effects are terrible, but watching the 9th doctor is key in understanding how he operates)
2- in order to thoroughly enjoy this show, you will have to suspend disbelief a lot. If you can deal with that, then you will love this show.
