new laptop and cant import from old computer for a few days so need to get a nice wallpaper.

anything halo related, only high def please. I would contribute but the stuff ive seen from quick searches is pretty lame and doesn't do halo justice.

If anyone has a nice landscape with the ring showing that would be awesome.

solid joke right there. Reach was good for a casual audience and big story fans, It doesn't come anywhere near the competitive level of Halo 2 and 3, you can't lose rank either, you just go. You can play the game. lose every single match, and still get inheritor in a year.

I'm really into the lore and Reach's story was shit, especially compared to the novel.

And like you said, for competitive play it's fucking dumb. Reach was bad all around unless you had shit taste.

H1 > H3 > H2 > Reach > ODST >H4

H1 has my childhood in a box. H3 is better than H2 just because of H2's awful ending, and the hype for H3 made me salivate more.
Frankly I loved Reach's story, which is why i played the games, I just loved the lore, And I liked all the cool armours and shit. I likes how they appealed to the casual gamer, cause that's what I am.
Halo 4 destroyed that, spat in its face, really. While they still take casual gamers into consideration, the best thing i liked about halo was the story and Halo 4 straight fucked it up.
See in my opinion, H4 wasn't a bad GAME, but it was a bad HALO. it didn't feel like halo at all.

I'm still going to stand my ground on this one and say that multiplayer-wise, Reach was pretty goddamn solid. Maybe it had a few more issues in the physics department than H2 or 3, but I thought it was all around good, save for the few minor issues people would bitch about, like the armor lock, but if you really fell for the armor lock trick, well, you're a fucking idiot who doesn't know how to anticipate. Seriously, just stand back a few yards when they punch down, and you pretty much have them. Whatever the ranking system, who cares, if you get put up with solid players, good, if you get put up against shit players, more easy kills for you.

Still wish that shit would come out for PC though, that would be wonderful.

My favorite thing about Reach was still the way your character handled on the ground. Literally loved everything about it, even the melees felt so visceral, not this candy-ass shit that Halo 4 put into it. Halo 4 was piss easy compared to combat in Reach, imo. I was pretty decent at Reach for a while, and when Halo 4 came up, fuck, I just wrecked shit without trying. Usually like a good 10-15 points above the next highest player. So fuck you, I miss Reach.
