There are 6 stories of stacks, where materials were formerly stored. Those stacks are being removed and new floors put in their place, thus giving the library a lot more floor space for tables, computers, and other things.
It is said that if a patron asked for something in the stacks it would take just 5 minutes to obtain the desired material
It is sad that we are living through the transition from book material in ink and paper into the digital era
