probably the most glaring plot hole of all is when they first get to the new planetary system, and they decide "Hey, let's go to the planet hovering right on the edge of THE EVENT HORIZON OF A FUCKING BLACK HOLE. I mean, are you kidding me? And sure, if you crunch the numbers, landing on that planet will give you the time dilation without sucking in the planet, but the huge pull of gravity would leave the planet highly unstable. That kind of tidal stress is what fuels the volcanism on moons in our solar system, even the pull from just Jupiter and other moons is what keeps Io in a state of constant volcanism.
Not to mention that the accretion disk, light surrounding the black hole in

The first planet they set foot on is so close to the accretion disk I wondered why it didn't burn up or break apart. I know it basically serves as a vehicle to show off time dilation and how crazy it is, but still.
And then there's the neutron star at the end, where the hell was that? It just came out of nowhere.
I should just watch it again and not care about the scientific accuracy.
