What's unusual is that she's a high profile face in highly political/legal news, and you just don't expect to see pretty, young, shy-ish girls on the TV in such situations . . . its always angry, grumpy old men. And that makes her stand out so much more.
In fact, most people don't realize how serious her political involvement is . . . she's listed as a wanted criminal in the Ukraine and is barred from entering all countries in the European Union, and has sanctions against her in the US, Canada, and Australia, due in part to claims that she took advantage of her position to help Russia take over Crimea. She's actually almost a "political news villain", but people can't get past the demure demeanor and soft smiles.
