I chose this one because it reminds me of a simpler time. I would have preferred an image with a porch swing in the fall to be honest but this still makes me feel nostalgic. My cousin and I always used to hang out but the fall always stands out for some reason. My aunt always had those scent diffuser reeds in the house that made it smell awesome. I remember the crisp feeling of the air, the smells and the activities. I fucking loved Halloween, and I still do. I've had a lot of relationships beginnings and ends in the fall, which makes it bittersweet when I reminisce but overall I'd say I feel pretty positive about it. Just felt like sharing why I chose my image.

These threads just make me sad and I go back every time because its about one of the only things I can ever relate to, besides the history one I put up. It makes me sad that every single year the past moves further and further away. It makes me sad that we can never go back to those times. I can never make peace with my past absolutely, which is why I always go back to it and cry my eyes out on odd days. I just love what happened then, those were the happy days. But now I don't know what I am anymore. Thanks OP for putting up this thread.

For me nostalgia almost never occures by looking at a certain scenery. It is almost always a feeling on the skin, a scent or some action like kicking cola cans around that triggers my sudden melancholic nostalgia. It is the times when I am up on the hills of my village and sit there with them talking about old cartoons and laughing about stupid moments.

It reminds me of a Japanese movie called "After-life" where people have to decide on what their happiest moments of life was. They then try to recreate the moments and almost everyone is more picky about the other sensual features besides the optical one.

I chose this Zelda wallpaper because it represents my current mood during this post.

I only read the Silmarillion and others in the last few years but I can't help feeling a strong connection to a vast world with so much in it forgotten.
