A friend of mine was in the Alaskan backcountry about 5 years back
He and his friend were moving alongside a river when a bear came charging out of the woods at them.
They walked into the river, the bear reached the edge, then fucked off.
As they got out of the river, the bear popped back out of the woods and chased them back in.
Even if they moved up/ downstream, the bear kept playing sharks and minnows with them.
The whole thing apparently lasted 5 hours.
