Rainmeter skins usually have four things in EVERY FUCKING SETUP, so I'll go through them.
1) Visualizer. use fountain of colors/monstercat visualizer. If you don't like bars but instead want a "its cold and theres frost on my window" kind of a look, Frost is nice (and it uses the same options(for the most part) as Fountain of Colors)
2) Usage Bars.
Personally, I just stick with Mii System Skin 2 (modified so it works with MSI Afterburner)
There are others, just this one looks clean and not like a piece of shit. For an example of my definition of "looks like shit" look at the Xtra Bar (

3) A clock.
Okay, I'll be honest. This is pretty important (but I can still see why you wouldn't use it)
Redial Clock is a nice one, its the only one i really use.
4) Launchers
Popular Option: Honeycomb.
Personal Favorite: Glorious Game Launcher, but heavily modified to get that PC Master Race shit out of there. GGL basically changes the background when you hover over one of the "links" in the side bar.
If you need inspiration (or just want to steal a design) if you go to r/rainmeter, there's some good looking skins, plus they link all skins in the comment. (ps: its not too cancerous, you'll make it out alive.)
