A good thing to think of and actually the most important thing when making vaporwave is this:
What image or scene gives you hiareth or nostalgia for the 90s? What gives you a longing for the past, that youth that you will never get back? What images romanticize the 90s as an easier, happier time?
Hell, it doesn't even have to be vaporwave just images that read, "90s" or show the 90s as a bygone era.
