This is the earliest I remember having, but of course it would've been in period correct 800x600 or 1024x768.

I wish I could remember the wallpaper site that this originally came from - I feel like it had the word "digital" in the title?

Not quite 2000, but when I first started using PCs a lot. I was literally 7 and only cared about Diablo 2 and Runescape.

Dunno why I always liked ME more than 98. It also performed better than 98 for some reason... Like booting up in 8 seconds on a pentium 2 @266 MHz, on 64 mb of ram. Still don't understand how... And why 98 always took 40-50 seconds to boot.
