/wg/ has a chronic problem with anime. As you can see if you look through the catalog, there are at least 2-3 anime threads going at any given time, despite the sticky stating in no uncertain terms that anime belongs on /w/. And the anons who make those threads are always very unpleasant about anybody pointing out this fact. A thread like this gives them fodder to be even more shitty about it in the future. We'll probably have to deal with a bunch of whiny "Well it was okay in this thread so I guess it's okay here!" type nonsense in the near future.
Obviously at this point, the damage has been done, so nothing for it now but to wish you well and hope you got what you were looking for. In future, the proper thing I would recommend doing to save on data would be to download the bare minimum 3-4 fitting images to start your thread off with, post those, and then let others do the rest.
