There's a ton of ubuntu 16.04 themes and shit. I'm not sure about the new one though, You should also probably get kubuntu or kde neon if you care so much about it.

to start, the blue toolbar clashes too much with the purple background. Not very comfy. And the background sucks. Its not very comfy either. Start with a better background and match your toolbar better or just hide it, than get back to us.

ok I've dealt with unity before and this is what you want.

>install unity-tweak-tool

Unity, while pretty useful, is also very limited in the number of resources out there for customization. Most of what you get is just flat shite and they haven't fixed (and they never will anyways) the vertical 1 pixel bar between the left panel and the maximized window.
