Oh here's a retro one. I always loved the look of the Excelsior class. It seemed like it was the workhorse of the Federation, seeing as it was still in service by the time of TNG. I feel like they were the "old but reliable" design that just never got retired, like a Crown Vic.

You're not triggered by 2009 Trek stuff, are you? I recognize the movies aren't entirely in the spirit of what Trek has always been about, but I enjoyed the first and second for what they were. Third was just too dumb, though.

And really, the Enterprise redesign is pretty slick. A great mix of old and new. It's quite obviously Kirk's Enterprise, but with some flashy new aesthetics as well.

Happy belated birthday OP.

Thank you for making me aware that I don't have any star trek papes. I'll make sure to keep the pape potential of star trek images I see in the future. I used to go though episodes to find things to make GIFs out of, somehow "startrek wallpapers are a good idea" never occurred to me.
