I've hated yen ever since the sword of destiny when we found out just how much of a manipulative, shallow, whore she was.
The more you read in the books the more progressively clear she makes it that she's up there with Sile, Phillipa, and Francesca as arguably the worst people in the series.
It's also really clear that Geralt doesn't love her but is tricked into believing he does by her since he has little concept of how those specific emotions work(he can have them but like a 16 year old he barely understand what means which) as he spent the first 80 years of his life with almost no friends besides his guild and a black market duo he used to know.
