>>7043329I refer to it as Denali not because of Obama, but instead because that is the original name for it in Athabaskan Native American and it means "the high one". They named it first and lived there calling it by that for centuries longer than the US was a nation. I live near a reservation of Athabaskan natives so I get the Native American perspective more than most. Also most Alaskans themselves call it Denali anyway. But either way is correct really, you can't stop people from calling it something they've been calling it for centuries tho.
