The top panel allows the windows go to beneath it, emulating the space-saving features of the global menu, without the global menu itself.

The bottom panel also contains a window list and intelligently autohides.

As for the wallpaper, while I am not 'religious', I am deeply interested in theology, and find Jesus' teachings to be as fascinating as any other philosophy of ethics. Religious texts often contain literary value, too. I find the painting deeply moving.

I like this but I think you should rename ur photoshop just to "Photoshop" and rename the Adobe icon to "Adobe Illustrator" i feel it would make is just that little bit cleaner :)

Windows can look clean as fuck, you just need to do some loot diggin.

Check out TranslucentTB and get some minimal Rainmeter skins too. Go deeper into your windows settings and turn off whatever icons you think are clutter, and even get into the registry if you know what you're doing.

This is my desk running win10, anything is popsicle anon.

Wanted to rice again after a long time, but the laptop I was doing it on crashed completely, I remember I had debian on it (with gnome iirc) with some 3ish pixel border theme - but I can't find it, does anybody know a/that theme that does that? it also had the close, minimize and maximize buttons similar to pic related. also black because its easier on my eyes. I never understood the skeumorphic tendency to make the background 'light' and the text 'dark' in value like a computer should emulate a piece of paper. giving off as little light as possible makes sense as I do most of my time on the computer after dark. all my word-processing software is the same--templated to be light-on-dark. Export it to paper standards when it needs to go elsewhere.

I tried to fix it with a transparent 1px wide border of the same color but it still doesn't look right.

Does anyone have any ideas how to give window decorations/corners anti-aliaising? I'm using a patched version of openbox for rounded corners. Is my only option to program it myself?

the way that patch "adds" rounded corners is actually by drawing the background over the corners of the window, that's why it doesn't work with borders enabled

Also a transparent terminal can be useful but not as transparent as yours. Mine is a little transparent to allow me to see what's in the background but I can still read it. see pic related. Also when a window is focused it becomes less transparent on my setup.
If you read the wiki correctly while installing Arch you won't have an unstable installation, never had a problem with mine.
