>>7075662It was Lenovo, years ago; and it wasn't spyware in the common meaning so much as a "user experience" tool that was "accidentaly" key-logging; it was patched rather quickly as well. Then they did it again recently but it was also fixed relatively quickly once people figured it out and, of course, their image was damaged because of this (Or it would be if consumers were at least conscious enough to remember who did what and when).
Again, that was Lenovo, not Microsoft or Windows.
>>7075600> It's not like spyware and general malware has gotten rarer since thenI'm not talking about spyware and malware in general, we were talking about Windows 10 specifically

All you are doing is getting worked up over some adsense or user experience tool that you are never going to experience anyway since it's clear you're using adblocker and ticking off boxes.
My dear friend, by admitting that you are sticking to windows 7 instead of updating for free to 10 (which you still can by the way) - or even changing to Linux and find the very real workarounds to your "problems" with it- you already admitted to being a retard: guess what? Older systems are more vulnerable to malware than newer ones; that happens with Windows, Mac, even UNIX. Like soccer moms denying vaccination, you are opposing updates that make you safer because of a perceived threat that you have not only no concise proof of how it harms you, but also believing you aren't already living with it.
