>>7070422>EngineerI may sound like an asshole, but not a true scientist; I've gone through personal blogs and pages of American engineers who argue against the STR or say absolutely asinine things like time dilation doesn't exists in a series of arguments that look not different from flat earthers, "classical explanations" of quantum phenomena that shows not only a very basic understanding of the quantum theory, but a lack thereof of simple two-dimensional cinematic.
Leaving the elitism aside, he's not even a good or prominent engineer.
>science educatorMost science educators aren't scientists either. That's one of the reasons education systems are so fucked up. And when we talk about television, most "science educators" are mere voices and maybe a pretty face reading a script., actors.
Bill Nye is an actor, he has sway, charisma with the american audiences and so gets paid to say things to them, but the idea of being "the science guy" obviously got to his head, then up his ass and now constantly spews out his mouth. "Bill Nye saves the world" holy fuck you can't thing of a more narcissistic title, because "bill nye is the new jesus" would involve hurr religion. The guy who played Beakman is way closer to being a scientist and he has less education, but is well aware of it and that he's just an actor.
So no, fuck that guy, Tyson at least could claim he tries (even if too hard while his academic curriculum doesn't impress either), but Nye doesn't.
