>>7115749Oh wow you replied! Yeah Deadwood really is like nothing else I've seen. I've never been so invested in so many characters. It's all so intricate and cozy somehow. The only upside about it ending so abruptly was not having to watch Doc Cochran deteriorate ;_; They are finally making a Deadwood movie it looks like. Arranging to get the cast together and working on the script last I read.
Maybe I'll have to revise my opinion when I get around to s3 but so far I just can't bring myself to hate Chuck. I get where he's coming from, and I feel sorry for him (and Jimmy as well). It's just such a bittersweet train wreck of a relationship. I love how the show makes me feel about them. Love those UK shows as well - I also liked Peep Show, Green Wing, Bottom, The League of Gentlemen.
I've seen and liked Sopranos, BoB, Fargo (s1 was best, s2 was good, s3 was kind of shitty imo), BrBa, Twin Peaks (absolutely love this). I saw a few seasons of Sons of Anarchy when it was on tv here and liked it well enough; I probably will pick it up again. Bates Motel and The Pacific are on my watchlist.
I also liked Westworld, The Deuce, Legion, Utopia (the UK graphic novel one). Guilty pleasure-wise, I enjoy Gotham (though I'm a season and a half behind). So far, it's kinda dumb but there's a lot of attractive people in there, and it's just really fun.
