I sort of agree that arch is a pointless distro. It's kind of like the uncanny peak on a learning curve where mediocre dunces think they are a expert at it (Dunning-Kruger effect).
Basically my point is: arch is hard enough to install and lacks a graphical install that people who use it think it's some high level distro.
Other than that my main complaint with arch is that the packages are shit. They bundle too much in them. It ends up harming the end user in the sense of bloat.
Arch doesn't even have the edge as a rolling distro:
