Though I don't share the same opinions as most of the fanbase. I hated 11 because of forced silliness even though I found his first 2 seasons good, I genuinely liked Clara as a companion with Capaldi while everyone seems to think she's the worst companion. I can't see why anyone would think she's worse than Bill and Martha, I'd actually say she's better than Rose (which was kinda just forced romance to have something that will pull views). The only companions with good chemistry with doctor (other than Clara) were Donna and Amy/Rory.
As for 11th being better than 10/9, I can't say. He definitely had better overall plot but a lot of things were ruined in his episodes (like daleks becoming non-threatening toys, angels no longer being genuinely scary) and I find all of his key episodes pretty shit, like his last one when he regenerated and even his first episode.
I don't know. 10/9 didn't have as many great episodes, sure, but at least they didn't have a "must skip" season for me (7) while I'm re-watching the series.
