Sure, you can hit surgicals and if they run lots of singles you may be able to snipe exactly what they need, but those upsides happen alot less frequently than you giving a dredge player half their deck, getting Griselbranded turn 2, opening up a million spells to someone with a snapcaster, giving the living end player half their deck, giving the phoenix player half their deck, etc.
