Every True German made industrial precision tool, appliance and instrument back then had That Particular shade of orange somewhere in them.
Seriously, if you spot that orange in a device (especially in Europe) and then on top of that a steel stamp says "Made in West Germany", you can bet your ass it was made in anal precision for something anything.
