It's spam at this point. I'm not against /pol/ but I don't think it should be overflowing into our wholesome board. There have been numerous threads calling this out and I wanted to get a real number so drop your vote. Feel free to post some dank, non-political papes as well.

That's where the Rule needs to be changed, at the global level. Same as /b/ posting outside of /b/ is a violation, /pol/ posting outside of /pol/ needs the same flag and penalties. For every board on 4chan. /pol/ is supposed to be cancer containment, there needs to be a way to send the cancer back there when it escapes containment.

Currently there are:
Two Fashwave threads.
One Nazi/Right-wing (no those terms are not interchangeable that's just what the thread is called)
One Third Way (whatever that means)
One MAGA
One Right Wing Phone Paper thread
One General Left-Wing
And one Laborwave

Personal opinion is that they should be allowed on here. I don't go on /pol/, but I assume it is for discussion only. However, I do think that people need to use the catalog, there should be a Right general, a Left general and possibly threads for more specific extremist ends like a commie thread or a nazi thread. Also jannies need to crack down on stuff, going through the catalog there are so many anime and duplicate threads.

That isn't the problem, the problem is that no one subject should be spread throughout 8 threads >>7394726 it's annoying and clutters up the catalog even if I never click on them.
One thread for each ideology would be ideal and more than enough since several of them aren't going to hit the image limit anyway.

Here's the thing though. The threads that are up don't belong in pol they are actually wallpaper threads. Using that mentality cartoon thread should go on /co/, animals on /an/, ect. I disagree, I don't like porn threads and would never use a porn paper, but I don't think that the nude women threads belong on /hc/ that's not what the board is for. Similarly I dislike /pol/ threads, but that doesn't change the fact that they belong on here. Albums don't belong on /mu/, men threads don't belong on /hm/. Figures don't belong on /toy/.
You not liking something doesn't mean it doesn't belong. It should just be contained in a few generals.

The problem is that the sheer number of them is wasting slots which could be used more productively. There are so many they take up a entire row + one in the catalog. Plus most aren't even hitting the image limit so it's even more of a waste.

this is a very slow but active board, a lot of people come here to contribute in different threads, whenever you make a new thread another potential good thread dies for it, that's why it's so widely disliked when people make dumb request threads, same goes for /pol/ threads or every other sub-category for that matter. it's okay to have a japan thread but when there is already one it's annoying to know a thread died for the 3. Japan thread with slightly different categories like /japan-nightedition

Agreed. Janitors just need to do a better job. On my way to this thread I saw 4 mobile wallpaper threads, and 2 quote wallpapers.

For everyone else wondering why "pol doesnt stay on pol" its because of the size limit. Maybe if mods would change the size limit of that board, they could indeed, stay there.
