>>7422807This is an amazing one! This is when Bhisma is just on the verge of unfairly killing Arjuna, and sri Krishna has to break his promise and get involved in the war.
The back-story to this is that Bhisma was being questioned by his grandson Duryodhana (who was leading the war on his side), Duryodhana was accusing Bhisma of not fighting to his full capacity because of his grandfatherly love of Arjuna. Bhisma then takes a vow to either kill Arjuna, or make sri Krishna break his promise of not getting directly involved in the war.
This was all in accordance with sri Krishna's plan. Now we come to the next day, this is where the image takes place. Bhisma is just about to kill Arjuna, and sri Krishna saves him and threatens Bhisma with his sudharshan chakra (the discus).
Sri Krishna had purposely broken his promise and planned this all to ensure that both Bhisma would no longer be doubted by Duryodhana, and to also save Arjuna, his great devotee.
sri Krishna's plan is all encompassing, jai sri Krishna
