They are kind of like Jehovah's Witnesses in this respect, apart from their love of violence and very rigid cultural structure. An "American" Islamist would look hardly different from any Islamist flag with the Shahada, but may just have American colors or would have a plain text saying something like "ولایة الامریکا" or something along those lines.
