Good portrayal of an introverted protagonist and by far the most accurate depiction of hacking, that I have ever seen.

It has some great moments. I was hoping for a vigilante hacker who took out bad guys but we've had very little of that and instead a whole lot of mental illness.

The last thing us techies needed was to be painted with more mental issues than the media all ready puts on us.

The actual hacking is very realistic, which is ground breaking for tv/movies and it will be remembered for that.

So much potential, the premise was great.

First season, excellent.

Second season, ok at first, then went off the rails completely.

Third season, pulled things back, more exciting, more action but then tried to undo all of season ones work?? WTF

Fourth season, is hijacked by white rose, is this even Elliots show anymore, since half of season three and all of four is to be taken over by what WR wants

Just finished the 2nd season and I think I get where you're coming from.
Especially with Phillip Price mentioning parallel realities, White Rose talking about dreams becoming reality and something being incredibly shady about that power plant, I'm really afraid the show will go into some time travel/parallel universe sci-fi bullshit soon, which is a bit of a shame, because it was fine without any of that.

I think what bothers me most, is that all of those stories (realistic depiction of hacking a megacorp, unreliable narrator with hallucinations and split personality and possibly parallel universe bullshit) are something I'm really interested in, I just don't think they fit together too well, especially the last part.
So far I'd be happier if it just ended after season 1 or ¾ through season 2
