I do a thing I call "genre leaping" where I'll just get pulled balls-deep into a particular mood or aesthetic and will obsessively consume all media unique to that aesthetic. Doesn't matter how awesome and amazing a game is, if I'm in one genre and the game is in the wrong one, I'll put it on the backburner to play until I'm in the right genre.
I'm currently in a cyberpunk genre, and was experimenting with "glitching out" the aesthetics on my phone to add a "virus in my system" vibe to it when I posted that.
Here's what I have now after abandoning the Glitch. Even within a genre I will vary and change my wallpaper and icons every two weeks or so to keep things fresh and interesting. It also extends to my sounds, AOD, lockscreen, and desktop computer.
