>>7573863>>7573864Its annoying to me Parasite did so well with the academy awards and general critical acclaim considering Burning came out a year prior and is a vastly superior Korean thriller and nobody batted an eye. Both Burning and movies like the Handmaiden are leagues ahead of Parasite. Parasite is basically an above average, good but not great film. It feels like Hollywood had no clue Korea has been putting out incredible films for years and just decided to bust their whole nut on whichever good one they made next
