Don't waste your time with it. its a horrible sequel to ATLA
Character development is basically non-existent.
Korra is handed everything without learning from her mistakes.
Pandering
They tell you about the "Magic" which is the avatar state.
Korra is so shit she can't connect with her spirit side, shes taught 3 of 4 bending arts at an early age so shes already proficient, she doesn't even learn from a Single master, she spares in arenas and in order to give her a "Challenge" they make Air bending difficult for her to learn, even though Fire is her opposite of water and that is what should be hard for her to learn to bend. just like how Aang had trouble with Earth because it's the opposite of Air, but they fucked that up.
They Kill the avatar lineage, making Korra the "first" avatar in a new series of avatars. (A lot of useful information shes going to have....)
Things that were established in ATLA are basicly rewritten in TLOK
Such as:
The Avatar State: is all of the knowledge and power of the previous avatars are what gives the power of the current avatar - is now a God and Satan reference, meaning there is a God inside the avatar that gives them power and when they die the God just moves on to the next person.
Benders: This one is okay by me but, Bending in ATLA was thought to be learned by the "Original Benders" - dragons, moles, sky bison, moon/ocean, etc... etc... In LTOK the first benders were given their powers by Lion Turtles.
even though we learned in ATLA that long before the elements were bent, Energy bending was the original bending art, but this could be interpreted as the Lion Turtle's bending art, just like how dragons are fire, sky bison are air, and so on.
