>>7639588>Why do abrahamic religions insist that their God is the only true GodAnyone who denies Christ and accepts Odin is doing the same thing that Christians do with pagans, insisting their god(s) is right. Everyone who subscribes to a religion believes they are right and others are wrong, pagans included. Anyone who denies this are wrong and not practicing what they claim their ancestors did.
>Monotheism seems to be the exception rather than the normAll pagan religions started as monotheism, the Father (look at the Proto-Indo-European Dyeus), and slowly started applying their myths to multiple gods instead of one. It's not like Greeks woke up one day and formed the pantheon, it's a slow process. I recommend The Secret Teachings of All Ages for more info on a lot of these pagan teachings.
Another thing is you have to realize the Christian concept of God is not the same as say, Odin or Zeus. I can't speak for all Christians, because a lot are blindly following what some pastor told them, but look into things like Marcionism, Neoplatonism, Gnosticism and even Hermeticism and Christianity. A good book i recommend is Christ the Eternal Tao by Hieromonk Damascene, in which he links the concepts of Christ, Tao, Logos and Shangdi together.
This probably isn't what you're looking for, but maybe someone will get something out of it.
