There's some real grit there. I like the idea of the socio-economic cultural identity vs the sci-fi purist handjob.
I like the idea of the clash of imagery. You've got cybernetics, android modifications, and you're supposed to be living in the finalized utopia.
Yet AI has taken over most jobs, and the vast majority of people live in squalor still.
You've got the bright, shiny, polished, neon dream that's promised to you, in your waking life.
You've got the dark, dirty, disenfranchised reality that is what it always has been.
It's somewhat comforting to think that the future isn't too far removed from today, and it's inspiring to see what we could be moving towards, and aspire for better.
