I know, it sucks, and fuck Apple; however, I use the macbook primarily as a file server for the external drives that are hiding behind the monitor. I SSH into it using the tiny Linux guy under the monitor. It's basically a Micky Mouse setup, but it does does what I need it to do, which is primarily data stuff.
