>>7718820I agree, though perhaps for different reasons. I found the Jurassic Park novel (the original source material) to be vastly superior to the film that popularized the brand. Spielberg's family fun adventure romp with SFX dinosaurs bears very little resemblance to the book.
I would've loved to have seen a faithful adaptation of Crichton's book, though that will never happen.
I would say the complete bastardization of his works have dominated, not his works themselves unfortunately. I'd be lucky if even 0.1% of those who have seen the media franchise films have even read the book.
