The original "Art of World of Warcraft" book is incredible and really showcases how much Samwise Didier shaped WoW visually. In terms of old-school medieval fantasy art, few do it better than Samwise; one of the many reasons why Vanilla still looks good today. It lacks pixels, but I don't immersive myself in a fantasy world looking for realism. Zoning in to Northshire Valley looks like a dungeons and dragons illustration. It doesn't look real, it looks like old school medieval fantasy.
