The big difference is the commies and their fanboys have become supremely adept at rewriting global history and covering up and deflecting blame for their atrocities over time to make themselves look like they're the good guys; because it's kinda hard to sell your deeply flawed ideology to others if everyone is critically aware of just how much of a dangerous contemptible unholy shitshow communism (and all the other variants of extreme socialism) actually is.
But Uncle Yuri was right, even if led by the hand and faced with masses of incontrovertible evidence against marxism/communism/extreme socialism, most, if not all, believers in far-left ideology will simply refuse to see the reality of things (until it's far too late for them and everyone else), hence why the world is now clearly at Stage 3 of the communist plan and might even be starting the fourth and final stage.
