After doing this for 2 seasons I don't even recognize that person anymore. Yeah there is a lot of days where it IS absolute hell and you'll question your life decisions, but when you're going direct with 19 other guys digging furiously on an active fire line eyes watering adrenaline full boost and a grin on your face the whole time... thats the shit man. Those moments make it all worth it. Try it out for at least one summer, I can't recommend it enough
