If a person with severe depression had any balls they'd be able to kill themselves. Living a life you hate because you hate yourself is easy, you're already doing it without trying. Facing the fear of the unknown, risking making your situation worse in case you botch it, committing to going through with something so permanent, that is truly brave. Having the courage to end your suffering rather than just existing because "it's what you're supposed to do".
