It is godawful whenever I see anything claim that the sum of all our achievement doesn't matter because the sun will turn big and red one day. The fact is that cosmic scope is not in our human boundaries therefore it is beyond us to consider such a thing. Similarly, is it not true that everything is pointless if there were no end, for it will all be lost anyway because there is only so much recordable history? So whether mankind hgas an end or is endless, the grand sum at the end is the same. Cycle is part of nature, and human nature as well, so why reject everything because of it? Embrace it instead, after all intentional non-conformity to the natural cycles that permeate every aspect of life -- social, political, artistic, human, natural cycles -- creates only abominations!
